Choice

by Jeffrey W. Hamilton

I found an interesting quote:

"I discovered I always have choices, and sometimes it's only a choice of attitude."

Judith M Knowlton

It reminds me of what God promised:

"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it" (I Corinthians 10:13).

As strong as the temptation is to use drugs, you've always had a choice and always will have a choice. While you continue in this life, I won't give up on the hope that you will choose God and leave drugs and those involved in it behind. "But for him who is joined to all the living there is hope, for a living dog is better than a dead lion" (Ecclesiastes 9:4).

Even in the things we truly don't have a choice because they are things that we can't control; still, we have a choice in how we react to them. It is so easy to blame others for our problems when what we really need to do is change our attitude toward life.

I haven't heard any news concerning you for several weeks now. I fear that means there isn't any good news to relay. I haven't stopped praying for you. I hope you haven't forgotten your devoted friends.
