If a person has no conviction, then you are saying they had no faith. Baptism without faith is merely an immersion in water. It does nothing for the person. Understanding of God’s teachings (Romans 10:17), faith (Hebrews 11:6), repentance (Luke 17:3), and confession of who the Lord is (Romans 10:10) are all required before baptism. It doesn’t mean a person must have perfect faith, but faith must exist (Mark 16:16).<\/p>\n
