Baptism without faith is merely an immersion in water. It does nothing for the person. Understanding of God&#8217;s teachings (Romans 10:17), faith (Hebrews 11:6), repentance (Luke 17:3), and confession of who the Lord is (Romans 10:10) are all required before baptism. It doesn&#8217;t mean a person must have perfect faith, but faith must exist (Mark 16:16).<\/p>\n<p>When a person was baptized as an infant, they had not met any of God&#8217;s requirements and should be baptized properly after doing what God commanded.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Question: Dear minister, If a Child is baptized without initial conviction, should this person be rebaptized if he is now convinced?
