Instead of rebuking them, God gives water from a rock. Not a stream. Not a well. A rock. The most unlikely source imaginable.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes God provides in ways that make no sense to us. He brings help from places we never would have chosen. He uses situations that look impossible to show that He&#8217;s not limited by what we see. Israel didn&#8217;t need only a better attitude to receive water; they needed a faithful God, and He&#8217;s exactly what they had.<\/p>\n<p>Think about the places in your life that feel dry or impossible, the areas where you can&#8217;t imagine anything good coming from them. God has a habit of bringing life out of unlikely places. He can bring refreshment from what looks empty. He can bring a breakthrough from what looks hopeless.
