Joseph stands before the most powerful man in the world, yet he refuses to claim credit for the insight he’s about to give. He understands that neither revelation nor its understanding is a human achievement.

This is a pattern throughout Scripture. God is the One who reveals, guides, and grants understanding. Joseph’s humility reflects a heart that knows its dependence. He doesn’t elevate himself because he knows the true source of his ability.

This teaches us something essential about serving God. Our gifts, insights, and strengths are not self-generated. They are entrusted to us for God’s purposes. When we acknowledge Him as the source, we position ourselves to be used more fully.

If you’re seeking direction or trying to help others find it, begin where Joseph begins.
