Jacob works seven years for Rachel, and Genesis 29:20 says they “seemed like only a few days to him because of his love for her.<\/em>”\u00a0It’s a beautiful picture of how love reframes effort. Jacob isn’t counting the cost; he’s focused on the joy set before him.<\/p>\n

There’s a spiritual parallel here. When we love God deeply, obedience no longer feels like drudgery. Serving Him becomes less about duty and more about desire. Love lightens the load.<\/p>\n

\"\"But there’s another layer: Jacob’s willingness to wait. We live in a world that hates waiting, but some of God’s best gifts require time. Jacob’s patience shows us that waiting isn’t wasted when the goal is worth it.<\/p>\n

If you’re in a long period of waiting -for healing, direction, restoration, or breakthrough- don’t lose heart. When love and trust steady your heart, the waiting becomes bearable. God is worth the patience.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
