Do you know Jesus? Or do you know about<\/em> Jesus?<\/p>\n Those are two very different things.<\/p>\n Lots of people know about Jesus the same way they might know someone by reading their biography. It may include many of their interesting personal characteristics or incidents from their lives. But it’s not the same as the experience of knowing them personally.<\/p>\n Though Jesus is a historical figure who walked the earth long ago, there is a way to know Him practically that goes far beyond simply knowing the details of His life. The key is obedience. And the key to obedience is love for Him, who He is, and His place as Lord and Savior.<\/p>\n So, do you know Jesus?<\/p>\n “By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. The one who says, ‘I have come to know Him,’ and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him … For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome<\/em>” (I John 2:3-4; 5:3).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" by Zeke Flores Do you know Jesus?
