Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, <strong>how much more<\/strong>\u00a0will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him<\/em>!&#8221; (Matthew 7:9-11).<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;<em>And a man was there with a withered hand. And they asked him, &#8216;Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?&#8217;-so that they might accuse him. He said to them, &#8216;Which one of you who has a sheep, if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not take hold of it and lift it out? Of <strong>how much more<\/strong>\u00a0value is a man than a sheep! . . . . Then he said to the man, &#8216;Stretch out your hand.&#8217; And the man stretched it out, and it was restored, healthy like the other<\/em>&#8221; (Matthew 12:10-13).<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;<em>Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of <strong>how much more<\/strong>\u00a0value are you than the birds! . . . . But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, <strong>how much more<\/strong>\u00a0will he clothe you, O you of little faith!<\/em>&#8221; (Luke 12:24, 28).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>From this, we learn:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Our Father responds to His children&#8217;s requests far more readily than earthly fathers do for their own. This is an encouragement to pray!<\/li>\n<li>God shows more compassion for human suffering than the legalistic Pharisees, who valued a sheep over a person. So we must guard against misplaced priorities.<\/li>\n<li>If God cares for His lesser creatures,<strong> how much more<\/strong> for those made in His image?
