Isaiah predicted the &#8220;child&#8221; who would be born and later called &#8220;Mighty God&#8221; (Isaiah 9:6-7). The Hebrew of the Old Testament refers to &#8220;El Shaddai&#8221; (God Almighty). The term emphasizes God&#8217;s ability to handle any situation that confronts God&#8217;s people.<\/p>\n<p>It is first used when God told Abraham, in his old age, that he would become the father of a great nation (Genesis 17:1-3). In other words, don&#8217;t doubt what God says. What seems impossible to you is possible when God is involved and He has promised something.<\/p>\n<p>John, the writer of Revelation, was employed by the Almighty to show visions of coming hardships through which the faithful will need to trust God by knowing Him as &#8220;the Almighty.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Together, the Almighty and I can handle whatever has been in the past, whatever is in the present, and whatever we must face together in the future. It is no longer a matter of whether I can deal with something. It is a question of whether the Almighty and I can handle this together!
