{"id":90787,"date":"2025-09-26T14:38:58","date_gmt":"2025-09-26T19:38:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lavistachurchofchrist.org\/cms\/?p=90787"},"modified":"2025-09-26T14:38:58","modified_gmt":"2025-09-26T19:38:58","slug":"commitment-is-hard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lavistachurchofchrist.org\/cms\/commitment-is-hard\/","title":{"rendered":"Commitment Is Hard"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\t<p>by Zeke Flores<\/p>\n<p>As I survey the fractured state of the people of America in general, and God&#8217;s people specifically, I&#8217;m humbled and grateful for those precious saints in congregations across the continent and around the world who understand the concept of congregational loyalty while others wander looking for greener pastures; who support their leadership even when decisions are made they don&#8217;t agree with; who encourage and uplift even when they&#8217;re discouraged; who overlook their own desires without imposing them on others even when those convictions are strongly held; who quietly and without fanfare simply work to be the best they can be while encouraging others to do the same.<\/p>\n<p>May their tribe increase.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;<em>So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
