They could find no place to stay due to the influx of visitors coming to register for the census, which was imposed by the Roman government.\u00a0This was the hometown of many people who had moved away but came back for this matter. Bethlehem was so packed with visitors that there was no room in the Inn for Joseph and Mary (Luke 2:1-7). The baby was born in a feeding trough where the livestock were fed.<\/p>\n<p>The king of all kings was born, but few knew the significance of this particular family, and especially of this baby. Otherwise, all would have given up their rooms and their conveniences to accommodate this particular family gladly. He was the Son of God come into the world to save us all, &#8220;but there was no room&#8221; in the Inn.\u00a0Too many people were too busy to realize and consider that this was a greater king than the one who was taxing them.<\/p>\n<p>This child would lie where sheep and cattle were fed and would become the bread of life to feed His spiritual sheep. But who knew? Who was aware?<\/p>\n<p>This child would become the sacrifice that would clothe God&#8217;s people with righteousness and cover their shame, yet there was no room for Him in the hearts of many. They knew not what they were doing when they shouted &#8220;crucify Him&#8221;. If they had known, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory (I Corinthians 2:8).<\/p>\n<p>There was no room in their hearts to stand with Him in trials, beatings, and crucifixion. There simply was no room in their lives for Jesus.<\/p>\n<p>Today, people are too busy for His church, His body. There is no room in their busy schedules for Jesus. This is the sad thing. We all need Him more than we need anything else, but we have crowded Him out! We have no room even to consider!<\/p>\n<p>But you can find room for Him, can&#8217;t you? Behold! He stands at the door and knocks! Your heart has made room for Him, He hopes!
