\nand what does the LORD require of you<\/em>
\nbut to do justice, and to love kindness, <\/em>
\nand to walk humbly with your God?<\/em>” (Micah 6:8).<\/blockquote>\nWhat John Preached<\/h2>\n
When tax collectors asked what repentance would mean for them, John answered, “Collect no more than you are authorized to do<\/em>.” Do justice!<\/p>\n
To the soldiers, John said, “Do not extort money from anyone by threats or by false accusation .<\/em> . .” (Luke 3:13-14). Do justice!<\/p>\n
To the crowds, John said, “Whoever has two tunics is to share with him who has none, and whoever has food is to do likewise<\/em>…” (Luke 3:11). Love kindness!<\/p>\n
John also warned against boasting, “We have Abraham as our father<\/em>.” What they truly needed was to repent (Luke 3:8). Walk humbly with your God!<\/p>\n
How We Respond<\/h2>\n
The Micah Principle applies both horizontally and vertically-how we treat others and how we respond to God. So, according to Micah, what is good? And what does the Lord require of us?<\/p>\n
