But one should not celebrate sin. The word of God is very clear about this (Romans 1:24ff; I Corinthians 6:8-10). The message of God is that He loves you and wants you, but He gives you reasons to repent (change), and repentance leads to salvation (II Corinthians 7:7ff). All men everywhere must repent of sin (Acts 17:30,31). Some need to repent of adultery, some of theft, some of drunkenness, some of homosexual acts. You cannot be a drunkard and be accepted by God and His people. You cannot be a homosexual and be accepted by God and His people. These are fundamental truths that must be faced. Instead of being proud and wanting others to accept these behaviors, you instead need to be ashamed. The Spirit says, “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret” (Ephesians 5:11-12).

One prevalent argument offered by those in the gay-trans movement is that “love is love”. But this is a subtle misuse of the word “love.” There is a difference between “eros” and “agape“. Agape is selfless and seeks the good of others. Eros is sensual and selfish. Eros is lust-oriented (hence the word from which we get “erotic”) and seeks to use others for selfish pleasure. So, selfish eros is selfish eros if that is how you are using the word “love.” But “love” (agape) is pure, selfless, and is described in I Corinthians 13 as a moral principle that restrains one from “parading oneself.” Who wants to have an “adulterer pride” month? Who wants to have a thief pride month or a drug-addict pride parade? I Corinthians 13 goes on to say that agape (love) “does not behave rudely,” and “thinks no evil,” and “does not rejoice in iniquity.” But the LGBTQ… movement is all about rejoicing in iniquity. Agape (love) “rejoices in the truth,” such as this article. That is the real, pure kind of love God wants us to have.

So, “love is love?” No! It depends on your starting definition and usage of the word “love.” Are you talking about “eros” or “agape?” We do not seek to harm anyone, but we seek the eternal well-being of all men, so much so that we want all to face the truth, turn to God, and be saved from condemnation. That is what love does.

This is gay pride month to some people. But one should not celebrate sin.
