In many ways, Galatians is about Paul and Jesus.<\/p>\n
One of the things I love about the short book of Galatians is how, although Paul writes on deep theological themes concerning the differentiation between the old and new covenants and their respective purposes, he often refers to how these themes relate to him personally, as in Galatians 2:20.\u00a0See, Paul could have said, as Jesus did in John 3:16, that the Lord gave Himself for everybody in the world, and it would have certainly been true. But he says, “Christ loved me<\/strong> and died for me<\/strong><\/em>” making Jesus’ sacrifice personal and intimate.<\/p>\n It seems to me that’s key for establishing a relationship, as well as personal intimacy. You have that through Jesus’ offering for you.<\/p>\n Say it with Paul, “He gave Himself for<\/em> me.<\/strong>“<\/p>\n “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.
