I have a question regarding a situation someone close to me is in. I’m wondering if I need to say something to them or not. They are a couple in the congregation. They have a daughter who, unfortunately, is a homosexual. She is (to my understanding) married to another woman and lives in another state. The daughter had artificial insemination performed and now has twin babies. They (the two lesbians) are raising the babies in this situation.<\/p>\n
My concern is about my brother and sister traveling to this other state to visit with them all. As far as I know, neither of the two homosexuals ever claimed to be Christians. With that said, is it acceptable to visit like this?<\/p>\n
I am currently thinking that since they were never Christians, it might be acceptable. However, I wouldn’t be comfortable supporting this in any way. But I wouldn’t want to let my personal feelings guide me.<\/p>\n
It also concerns me that they attended the “wedding” before these children were brought into the situation. I don’t want to sound rude, but I wouldn’t do that. It seems like it’s supporting it.<\/p>\n

It is always difficult to deal with situations where your children are in sin. You want to maintain the family relationship but you don’t want to encourage their sin.<\/p>\n
“And although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them<\/em>” (Romans 1:32).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
The verse was written about the decay of Greek society. We don’t support sin, regardless of who is involved in it. I agree that attending the fake wedding was wrong. While I see the children as innocent victims, legitimizing what their daughter is doing is wrong. The parents are more concerned about their relationship with their daughter and are likely justifying it by saying they hope to influence them, but clearly this is not working.<\/p>\n
Discussing this with the parents won’t be easy, and they will likely not take it well. But at least you can warn them.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
