We live in a world that is permeated by pluralism, humanism, relativism, and every other “ism” one can think of.<\/p>\n
Everybody’s opinion is of equal value, more or less, and therefore equally true. For instance, have you ever heard someone say, “That may be true for you, but not for me”? This kind of thinking has been around for a long time. The ancient Stoics believed that since everyone had something of the Divine in them (though not necessarily the God of the Bible), everyone was equally true. The thing is, no one has ever been able to live by that philosophy.<\/p>\n
For instance, if somebody fell off a cliff, the laws of gravity, thermodynamics, and mathematics would immediately contribute to his death or severe injury, even if he’s a “gravity denier.” Those laws remain just as true today as they were in antiquity. The truthfulness of a thing doesn’t depend on someone’s belief in it but on whether it is so, independent of what anyone believes about it.<\/p>\n
Our world -and the entire universe- was created by a Master Planner and Designer and is governed by laws (truths) that never waver or change. That’s the nature of truth. It comes from One who is the utter Truth Himself. Therefore, anything He says is sure and certain regardless of what we believe about it.<\/p>\n
He has spoken clearly and truthfully about every perspective of human existence, leaving us a sure path to walk so we can be assured of reaching another plane wherein He Himself dwells.<\/p>\n
And that’s no lie.<\/p>\n
