Leading a prayer requires the ability to communicate one’s thoughts to others and to God. People with Down Syndrome understand language well but are often delayed in developing the skills to express themselves verbally. “Delayed” is a keyword here. Communications skills do develop. Thus, if a man can express himself so that others understand, he can lead a prayer.<\/p>\n\t
