Precious Memories<\/a>. After having led this hymn in worship for almost sixty years, the preacher where I attend said if Precious Memories was sung, he would walk out and not sing it because it is unbiblical. He says angels do not have specific messages for us about the past, present, or future. You can always print out a copy of the lesson and hand it to him. Like many, he missed the figurative language in the song and is trying to apply a literal meaning that doesn’t fit. The song states in the first line that memories are the unseen angels (“messengers”) sent from somewhere. The lesson might not convince him.
