Sometimes, we feel invisible.<\/p>\n
We feel no one notices us, especially when we’re struggling with distress that makes us want to curl up and cry. Sometimes, we might want to scream, “Hey! I’m here! Can’t you see me? Don’t you care?”<\/p>\nIn Luke 13, there was a woman that probably everyone noticed, but no one really saw. The bent-over woman had been going to the synagogue for 18 pain-wracked years. In that time, it seems no one took the time to pray with her, to seek God’s healing for her, or to offer encouragement.
\nBut Jesus saw her. When He did, He called her forward. He saw her for what she was, a prisoner in need of release. I can see her shuffling toward Him, full of … what? Apprehension? Nervous excitement? She got more than a notice; she was gifted with more than she could ever have imagined and stood straight and glorified God.\n
The lessons are obvious. You’ve been gifted with more than you could have hoped for, certainly more than you deserve. Celebrate your release. Stand straight and glorify God!<\/p>\n
