Today&#8217;s culture encourages:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Loud and brash people<\/li>\n<li>Flashy and gaudy clothing<\/li>\n<li>Doing foolish things and being foolish to get attention.<\/li>\n<li>Living in front of a camera and doing whatever will get praise, fame, acceptance, and prosperity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>God calls us out of this world to be separate, holy, and devoted to Him. We are to be different from the world around us. We are to pray that we can live lives that are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Peaceful: where we are peaceable and peacemaking while unharmed by others around us.<\/li>\n<li>Godly: in which we follow God&#8217;s will and not society mores<\/li>\n<li>Quiet: not making things about us. Not self-promoting. Not attention seeking.<\/li>\n<li>Dignified: respectable. We represent the King as his children.
