Are they two different covenants?<\/p>\n\t<h2>Answer:<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;<em>These are the words of the covenant which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the sons of Israel in the land of Moab, besides the covenant which He had made with them at Horeb<\/em>&#8221; (Deuteronomy 29:1).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>What follows is a summary review of the covenant between God and Israel. Some parts might explain a point differently, but it is a ratification of the covenant. At the original covenant, sacrifices were made to seal the covenant.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;<em>For where a covenant is, there must of necessity be the death of the one who made it. For a covenant is valid only when men are dead, for it is never in force while the one who made it lives. Therefore even the first covenant was not inaugurated without blood. For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses to all the people according to the Law, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, saying, &#8220;This is the blood of the covenant which God commanded you<\/em>&#8221; (Hebrews 9:16-20).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>There were no sacrifices at this review of the covenant.
