There isn&#8217;t a right or wrong answer per se, but simply questions dealing with what has happened in your life. I&#8217;m sorry the questions are vaguely worded, but there are so many beliefs among the denominations, it is hard to capture in a few questions what everyone has done.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>How old were you when you made a commitment to Christ?<\/li>\n<li>Did you make a confession at the time of your commitment?\n<ol>\n<li>If yes, what did you confess?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Have you been baptized?\n<ol>\n<li>If yes, how were you baptized?<\/li>\n<li>Were you baptized before or after your commitment?<\/li>\n<li>How long was it between your commitment and your baptism?<\/li>\n<li>Why were you baptized? (i.e. For what purpose were you baptized?)<\/li>\n<li>Were you saved before or after your baptism?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Next, I would like you to increase your knowledge of the Bible. What I will do is send you some passages to read and a few questions about the passages. The questions should be answerable straight from the passage. Don&#8217;t answer with what you believe you know. Read the passage and answer the questions based on what it says. I hope they will get you thinking and stir up some discussion.<\/p>\n<h3>II Peter 1:3<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Has God given us everything we need for life and godliness?<\/li>\n<li>What does life encompass?<\/li>\n<li>What does godliness encompass?<\/li>\n<li>Since all things have been provided, do you need any additional information, other than the Bible?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>II Timothy 3:16-17<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>How much of the Bible is inspired?<\/li>\n<li>What four things can the Bible do for you?<\/li>\n<li>Do you need any other revelation to make you spiritually complete (or perfect)?<\/li>\n<li>Is it your understanding that the New Testament is the law now spiritually binding?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>John 12:48<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Will the words of Jesus judge you on the last day?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>John 10:10<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>For what purpose did Jesus come?<\/li>\n<li>Is what he taught only for getting us to heaven?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>John 14:6<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Could the words of your mother, father, spouse, friends or neighbors give you the abundant life if they differ from Jesus&#8217; teachings?<\/li>\n<li>Could the words of religious leaders, such as Joseph Smith, John Calvin, Martin Luther, or the Pope, give you the abundant life if they differ from the teachings of Jesus?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Question: I think I feel a lot better after\u00a0our discussion\u00a0and it&#8217;s appreciated.\u00a0 Any other advice you can give is appreciated.\u00a0 I just want to make sure I am not doing anything wrong.\u00a0 I try every day to live like Jesus, but like probably everyone else I find it extremely difficult.
