I have a question, as my head has been scrambled these past few days, though I have been praying.<\/p>\n
I have been talking to this lady for some time now, and everything has been going well. Still, while discussing things with her recently, I realized that she got her immigration papers using a sham or fake marriage when she was younger. She’s not that person anymore. She’s now a devoted Christian. I am not sure how to navigate this.<\/p>\n
What are your thoughts on this?<\/p>\n\t
Sadly, many people have forgotten the importance and seriousness of a marriage covenant. Covenants are lifetime agreements. It doesn’t matter that she wasn’t serious about entering a marriage or didn’t intend for the marriage to last. The reality is that she entered into a marriage covenant with a man, and that binds her to him until he dies (Romans 7:2-3).<\/p>\n
The question you should be asking is why their marriage ended. If it ended because the immigration papers were received, she would still be bound by her covenant.
