\nOne disliked the music, then there were six.\nSix little Christians seemed very much alive.
\nOne lost his interest, then there were five.\nFive little Christians pulling for Heaven’s Shore.
\nOne stopped to rest, then there were four.\nFour little Christians each busy as a bee.
\nOne got his feelings hurt, then there were three.\nThree little Christians knew not what to do.
\nOne joined the sporty crowd, then there were two.\nTwo little Christians — our rhyme is nearly done —
\nDiffered with each other, then there was one.\nOne little Christian can’t do much ’tis true,
\nBrought his friend to Bible study, then there were two.\nTwo earnest Christians, each won one more.
