Then later he said that &#8220;<em>The fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven were also stopped<\/em>&#8221; (Genesis 8:2). Solomon also wrote of the &#8220;fountains of the deep&#8221; (Proverbs 8:28). God asked Job, &#8220;<em>Have you entered the springs of the sea?<\/em>&#8221; (Job 38:16). We now know that there really are submarine fountains coming from the ocean floor (e.g. off the coasts of Greece, Italy, Israel, Syria, and Australia). How did the writers of Genesis, Proverbs, and Job know of these when such discoveries were made many years later?<\/p>\n<h3>Creation Finished<\/h3>\n<p>Genesis 2:1 states that the creation was &#8220;finished,&#8221; indicating an action completed without continuing into the future. This is exactly what the First Law of Thermodynamics states: neither matter nor energy is being created or destroyed. The Genesis account is scientifically accurate on this point.
