I was told by a psychologist the Word of God (the Bible) is not recommended for mental health. If this is not true, may I please have some biblical evidence please?<\/p>\n\t

Psychology is the study of the mind and its functions. As a course of study, it helps us understand a bit better how people’s brains work. But like any scientific study, it is worldly and has its limits. Geology can tell you a lot about rocks, but it can’t deal with the ultimate origins of those stones because the origins cannot be studied. Biology can tell you a lot about the creatures on the earth but it is unable to accurately discuss where those creatures came from. And in psychology, it totally falls flat when it comes to morality, ethics, and spiritual needs. It can give guesses as to why people behave as they do, but it cannot tell you what anyone is thinking. “For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him?<\/em>” (I Corinthians 2:10).<\/p>\n
You are dealing with a psychologist who doesn’t believe in God or the Bible. Such atheists claim that the Bible is the cause of problems and reject all evidence that it solves problems. Basically, the psychologist sees the Bible as competition to his own beliefs and he would rather eliminate the competition than deal with inconvenient facts.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
