I am 26 years old. I am a Christian, but I backslid.<\/p>\n
It all began a long time ago. I think when I was even less than 7 years when I started masturbating.<\/p>\n
A few years ago, I met some guy and we committed fornication. I knew I was sinning. Since then I find it hard to pray and I stopped tithing. I just don’t know what happened. I would tell God I will stop, but I kept on doing the same thing. We broke up last year.<\/p>\n
I then met another guy. We are not in a relationship but on two occasions we slept together. Today I told him that I wasn’t comfortable with what is happening.<\/p>\n
It feels as if I’ve been under a spell since I was a child. I’ve never told anyone about this. I really need you to help me.<\/p>\n\t
Claiming to be under a spell is simply a way to avoid responsibility for your choices. You are not bewitched. Witchcraft is nothing by fakery. You have been making bad choices and while you feel sorry about them, you sorrow like the world — you don’t make any changes in your life. No one has to commit fornication. You can always say no and walk away. Instead, you let your feelings at the moment make your decisions.<\/p>\n
Being a Christian is a commitment to obey the laws of Christ, regardless of your personal feelings. “Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?<\/em>” (Luke 6:46). Until you decide to leave sin behind, you will constantly fall into the same habits. But you have to understand that you are responsible for your own decisions. “The person who sins will die. The son will not bear the punishment for the father’s iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son’s iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself<\/em>” (Ezekiel 18:20).<\/p>\n\t May God bless you so much.
