I have studied several maps of Jerusalem for that time period, but I cannot find one that is to scale.<\/p>\n\t<h2>Answer:<\/h2>\n<p>It is 0.2 miles (0.3 kilometers) from the Praetorium to the traditional location for Golgotha as the crow flies. However, this doesn&#8217;t tell us how far the cross was carried because we don&#8217;t know the path Jesus took through the streets of Jerusalem. Though there are many traditions concerning the journey, the Bible contains no records.<\/p>\n<p>As a note of interest, Jerusalem at the time of Jesus was about 0.6 miles (1.0 kilometers) across from wall to wall in the east-west direction.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Question: How far did Jesus carry the cross?
