What I gather from your note is that you knew the young man had the wrong impression about your availability, but you never corrected him. Yes, you once told him to stop sending gifts, but that is not the same as telling him: “Look, I’m married, and I’m not looking for another man.” Would it be correct to say that you liked his attention, even though you knew it was wrong?<\/p>\n
The proper thing to have done would have been to return his gifts to him, and if you still have his address, you should do so. You should not desire to profit from deception. If he refuses the return, then send it to a charity.<\/p>\n\t
