Do you think these are things that would keep us out of heaven?

Answer:

I don’t sit in God’s judgment seat. My duty is to relay what the King has decreed.

God requires obedience from His children, even though He understands that we struggle. “This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us. My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous” (I John 1:5-2:1). A Christian’s goal is to not sin and barring that, to not remain in sin.

It is God who commands: “Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves” (Romans 13:1-2). Thus, disobeying a government law is equated to disobeying God. The exception is when a government issues laws contrary to God since their authority comes from God. Speed limits, no texting while driving, and requiring seatbelts are all safety issues that do not contradict God’s laws. Therefore, we are expected to obey the government.

Response:

Thanks!

Question: No doubt, a Christian realizes the seriousness of sin.
