I have recently been diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gerig Disease, I think it’s called in the US). I am a strong, committed, and faithful believer in God; however, I am not immune to fear of the unknown. I know I only have a very short time left on earth, and will soon be joining my Savior in his kingdom. I am scared of losing my faculties and having to rely on other people. Your website has brought nothing but joy to me for the last few years and will continue to do so as this prison of a body will soon give up on me. Do you have any comforting scripture for me? I love “cast all your care upon him, for he careth for you.”<\/p>\n

I’m really sorry to hear about your disease. I’ve known a couple of people who have had it. For most people, your mind remains functional while you lose control of your muscles. It is that inability to do things for yourself and the difficulty in communicating that most people dread.<\/p>\n
I’m glad that you found useful studies on this website.
