My wife spent the night at a hotel in a different state with another man. She said she did not have sex, but they kissed, he touched her breasts and was on top of her without a shirt, and she played with his nipples, etc. She tried to lie to me at first and said they just kissed at a bar. I only found out the truth because a friend of hers called me and told me that he was going to call 911 because she did not spend the night at the hotel where they were staying. He asked her to leave with them, but she wanted to stay with the stranger. Later she showed up and she called but did not tell me what happened. She only said that they kissed a bit in the restaurant, but, as it turned out, it was not the truth. I do not trust her since she has not been truthful.<\/p>\n
Is this considered adultery? I am confused about what is adultery and porneia. Porneia says sexual sin. Is this porneia or moichia. It\u2019s so confusing,<\/p>\n\t
“A single witness shall not rise up against a man on account of any iniquity or any sin which he has committed; on the evidence of two or three witnesses a matter shall be confirmed<\/em>” (Deuteronomy 19:15).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
In a court of law, the judge does not need to see the crime being committed to determine that a crime was done. In the same way, you don’t need to see your wife with another man to know if she is committing adultery.<\/p>\n
Let’s review the evidence:<\/p>\n

- She admits that she was in bed with another man and acting lewdly.<\/li>\n
- A co-worker states that she left with a stranger and was gone all night.<\/li>\n
- She has proven herself to lie.<\/li>\n
- She was drinking, which lowers a person’s inhibitions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
I would say the weight of evidence is that she did commit adultery. Adultery is one form of fornication since it involves having sex with someone to whom you are not married.<\/p>\n\t
