So why do you doubt God? Is it because you have no plans to give up your sins? That surely can’t be the reason. The response to sin is to give it up. “For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death. For observe this very thing, that you sorrowed in a godly manner: What diligence it produced in you, what clearing of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what vehement desire, what zeal, what vindication! In all things you proved yourselves to be clear in this matter<\/em>” (II Corinthians 7:10-11).<\/p>\n
“Who is a God like You, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in mercy. He will again have compassion on us, and will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea<\/em>” (Micah 7:18-19).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Confess your sin to God and then trust that He keeps His word. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness<\/em>” (I John 1:9).<\/p>\n\t

Thanks for your quick reply. I have cried for God’s mercy, confessed to the man who led me to Christ and to my best friend who is born again as well. But why am I still down with the yoke of the sin? I have not been able to go out of my room for two days now. I really want this burden to be over. It’s been a bad scene for me.<\/p>\n\t

I’m sorry that you still don’t trust God’s love despite reading about it in His Word. Or are you saying that you fear you will commit this sin again? I can’t make you believe God.
