I told someone in our Bible study recently that “eternal security” is a doctrine. She said no, that doctrines are doctrines of angels, about five or so in number. What do you think about this?<\/p>\n\t
Doctrine means “teachings.” “For I give you good doctrine: Do not forsake my law<\/em>” (Proverbs 4:2). There is no passage that indicates that there are only five doctrines. Nor does the doctrine of the New Testament come from angels. “Jesus answered them and said, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me.
