We recently moved in with my mom. She has been trying to break me and my girlfriend up by saying things to her behind my back. I’m trying to get an apartment, but I have to wait until a month and a half from now to get it. I tell my girlfriend to be patient, but she continuously talks about my mother and the things she is doing. I just ignore the thing my mom does and be strong. What are some wise words I can use to help us and to tell my mother to stop the complaining?<\/p>\n\t
My question for you is why are you living with your girlfriend when the two of you are not married? I have to assume, given today’s society that the two of you are sharing a bed in your mother’s house. “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God<\/em>” (I Corinthians 6:9-10). “Fornication” is having sex when you are not married. Even if all you can afford is marriage at the county courthouse, that is better than sinning. “But if they cannot exercise self-control, let them marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion<\/em>” (I Corinthians 7:9).<\/p>\n This would also remove a weapon from your mother.
