My heart has been troubled lately with a question that I can’t seem to answer I’ve been praying about it but no answer yet. Why did God create us? If he knew that Satan would rebel against him and that Adam and Eve would fall into sin why did he create us, to begin with? I know at first glance this might seem like a blasphemous question but it has shaken my faith a bit. If God knew it was going to happen, then is it our fault that we sin? Why didn’t God just not create us in the first place? This question is putting a lot of rebellion and pride into my heart. I pray that the Lord take this pride out of me I don’t want it I wish to serve him. However, I can’t overlook this question.<\/p>\n

Answer:<\/h2>\n

You focus on the negative. God focused on the positive. He created beings with free choice, among whom some would freely choose Him. Yes, each of us is responsible for our decisions. “The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself<\/em>” (Ezekiel 18:20). The apostle Paul addressed a similar question: “You will say to me then, “Why does He still find fault? For who has resisted His will?” <\/em>” (Romans 9:19). The answer is that God does as He sees fit. Being the created, we don’t have a say in the matter — just as children can’t demand why their parents had them. “But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, “Why have you made me like this?” Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?<\/em>” (Romans 9:20-21).<\/p>\n
