Jesus might have eaten fish, but by no means did he or God say ”Let us kill everything that walks.” If he said that we could eat meat, then why on earth would killing a human be murder? We are all equal. That’s what the Lord says. Therefore, none of us should eat animals! PETA is not a huge fan of telling people to stop eating meat. They are letting us know what is happening to the animals, as if anyone cares. You have to have a huge spot in your heart to care! He might have eaten animals, but I can tell you he did not put them in any unneeded suffering before their death. That is what they are doing in “factory farms.” People from the 1500s were more civilized than humans these days. What matters is that the Lord was a vegetarian. If he ate any animal, he did not put them through any physical and unneeded pain. Besides their death that is natural to us anyways! I’m not going to become worm food and watch our planet be destroyed by people who simply don’t care! You tell me he ate meat? I tell you he didn’t. Which one of us is telling the truth? Only the Lord himself can tell us because we were not there! If you were God, would you let your creations kill each other like this? I bet you wouldn’t like it! So don’t tell these people that he ate meat because who’s to know that he didn’t? Thanks for your time.<\/p>\n\t

I really regretted cleaning up this note for publication. The primitive English made this PETA supporter sound raving mad. I hope I managed to keep the “flavor” of it for you.<\/p>\n

Despite your inconsistent claim of maybe he did and maybe he didn’t, the answer is that God did give man permission to eat meat in addition to vegetables. The article “Did Jesus Eat Meat?<\/a>” lays out the Scriptures showing that Jesus ate fish and lamb, as would any Jew. Of course, this poor deluded PETA supporter doesn’t want those Scriptures stated because it ruins his position.<\/p>\n

The claim that PETA is only against modern meat processing operations is easily proved as false. I have asked adherents several times that if it is the operation that they object to, then why don’t they raise and slaughter their own meat? Of course, they find this even more repulsive, thus showing that it is not the meat processing plants that they object to but the very concept of killing animals for food. Meat processing plants are just popular targets because they are large and relatively few.<\/p>\n

You make the point that God wouldn’t have His creations kill each other. This is another false statement for God created the meat-eating animals of our world and they do spend their lives killing each other — many in not nearly as “civilized” ways as man.<\/p>\n

Finally, a major flaw in your reasoning is shown when you declare that humans and animals are equal. Such is not taught in the Bible. Humans and animals both share life, but humans differ from animals in that they are made in the image of God, animals are not. “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”<\/em>” (Genesis 1:26).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
