What do I do about my second wife?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\t<h2>Question:<\/h2>\n<p>Shalom,<\/p>\n<p>Prior to becoming a Christian, I was a born Muslim and married two women. My question is what is the status of my second marriage and what shall I do with it? I have a child with my second marriage. I appreciate very much your biblical answer.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you and God blessed.<\/p>\n\t<h2>Answer:<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;<em>And He answered and said to them, &#8220;Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning &#8216;made them male and female,&#8217; and said, &#8216;For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh&#8217;? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate&#8221;<\/em>&#8221; (Matthew 19:4-6).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The rule is that a man may marry a woman. Any other relationship outside of that marriage is adultery. Though the Muslim religion recognizes multiple marriages, it is not moral by God&#8217;s law. The second marriage is not truly a marriage recognized by God.<\/p>\n<p>You do owe the child you conceived support. It is not the child&#8217;s fault that you violated God&#8217;s law, even though it was through ignorance of what the Bible teaches.
