I have read some of your answers as regards marriage and making the right choice. I have always prayed to God to give me His perfect will. I have a girl I truly love — we both love each other — and I want to get married to her by God’s grace.<\/p>\n
I have always wished to be married to someone from a rich background. But the one I love isn’t from a rich background at all. She truly loves me for whom I am. What do I do? Although I haven’t proposed to her yet, do I go ahead and propose?<\/p>\n

God’s will is that men marry women who will be their lifetime companions (Ecclesiastes 9:9; Romans 7:2-3). So is this the woman you want at your side for the rest of your life?<\/p>\n
God’s will is that you put the other person ahead of your own desires. “So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church<\/em>” (Ephesians 5:28-29). So is this all about her or all about you?<\/p>\n God’s will is that a person chooses to love another regardless of current problems. “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails<\/em>” (I Corinthians 13:4-8). So are you determined to make this work, even through the rough times?<\/p>\n Money isn’t the critical factor. It is easier to work hard when you know someone you love is dependent on you.
