I’m positive I’m bisexual. I’m a virgin but I have a strong sexual attraction to both males and females. I just wanted to know. Does God hate me and am I going to hell for a feeling I was born with and a feeling I\u00a0cannot<\/em>\u00a0change?<\/p>\n\t To be bisexual means that you have sex with both men and women. That is not your case. You are\u00a0tempted<\/em>\u00a0to be a bisexual and find the thoughts of having sex with another person arousing, regardless of their gender.<\/p>\n Being tempted to engage in an action is not permission to do so. There are people who are tempted to steal, they may be positive they would enjoy having whatever it is they wish to take, but that doesn’t make it right. If we used an individual’s desires as a standard for morality, we would be faced with chaos. Individuals’ desires would conflict with each other, yet no one would be wrong because it is what they want. In this unworkable world, no one could be condemned for murder, armed robbery, or pedophilia because they would just say that it is what they wanted to do.<\/p>\n For Christians, the source of morality is God. “Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear<\/em>” (I Peter 1:13-17). Righteousness and sin are defined by God, not individuals. We conform ourselves to God’s Will regardless of our personal wants or desires.<\/p>\n Bisexuality involves homosexual sex; something God clearly stated is sinful. “For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due<\/em>” (Romans 1:26-27). It also involves fornication because bisexuals don’t commit themselves to any single individual. Yet, fornication is also a sin. “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God<\/em>” (I Corinthians 6:9-10). Therefore, no one practicing bisexuality can expect to reach heaven.<\/p>\n Right now your sex drive is in overdrive. Your body desires sex and it is indiscriminate about where it can find sex. But you are in control of your body. You are not an animal in heat. You are a person created by God to do good in this world (Ephesians 2:10). Instead of justifying your desires for sin, rule over your body and express what your body wants in holy ways. “Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air.
