Am I more likely going to make it to fame by praying?

Answer:

You are assuming that being famous is something God wants us to strive for.

“Better a poor and wise youth than an old and foolish king who will be admonished no more. For he comes out of prison to be king, although he was born poor in his kingdom. I saw all the living who walk under the sun; they were with the second youth who stands in his place. There was no end of all the people over whom he was made king; yet those who come afterward will not rejoice in him. Surely this also is vanity and grasping for the wind” (Ecclesiastes 4:13-16).

Fame is fickle because people constantly flock to new things. We talk about our 15 minutes of fame because we know that people will change their minds faster than the wind changes direction. Just because you are famous, it doesn’t mean you are good or deserving. And fame does not bring happiness because of the precarious position you are in. Most famous people are unhappy people.

God doesn’t grant prayers that are not good for a person. Some people become famous because they happen to be good at what they do. But even after the fame disappears, they are still good at what they do. Fame isn’t what they seek so fame doesn’t change them.

Question: I have a question: I am a musician.
