What can a Christian do to change his or her unforgiving spirit? How should Christians respond to other Christians who display a non-Christian-like behavior toward us?<\/p>\n\t<h2>Answer:<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;<em>For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses<\/em>&#8221; (Matthew 6:14-15).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses<\/em>&#8221; (Matthew 18:35).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, &#8216;I repent,&#8217; you shall forgive him<\/em>&#8221; (Luke 17:3-4).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift<\/em>&#8221; (Matthew 5:23-24).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone.
