Recently one of our elderly lady members had such chronic pain that she could barely move.\u00a0Her health is deteriorating rapidly. She does not drive; one of our members has to pick her up when she feels well enough to attend worship services.\u00a0They had a difficult time transporting her out to the car.<\/p>\n
One of the men suggested that the church purchase an inexpensive wheelchair to use if and when it happens again or to one of the other members since we have several elderly with failing health.<\/p>\n
Does the church\u00a0have scriptural authorization to make this purchase?<\/p>\n\t
I can’t think of a reason why it would be wrong. It would be similar to a church purchasing a braille songbook for a blind member.<\/p>\n
