Please, can you give me some advice on how to stay spiritually stable? Because I am never stable in my spiritual walk with God. Today I am strong in the Spirit, tomorrow I am weak. This has bothered me a lot because I gave my life to Jesus two years ago, but I still find it hard to maintain my spiritual stand. Your advice will really be helpful!<\/p>\n

Many people see that the decision to follow Christ as their own, so they conclude that they can stay with that decision on their own as well. God tells us differently. We need encouragement to stay with our decisions. People who try to lose weight do better when they meet regularly with others who are also trying to lose weight and those who are there to encourage them to continue losing weight. It is no different in spiritual commitments. We need to have our “batteries recharged.” We need regular reminders of what our goals are and why they are important.<\/p>\n
This is why God has Christians meet in worship every week: “Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, …<\/em>” (Acts 20:7). He also had the Israelites do the same thing, only their day of worship was on Saturday, the Sabbath day. Thus, “…\u00a0when you come together as a church<\/em>\u00a0…” (I Corinthians 11:18), we worship together, teach each other, and encourage each other. It isn’t optional, it is commanded and necessary.<\/p>\n
