“Sustainable agriculture is a way of raising food that is healthy for consumers and animals, does not harm the environment, is humane for workers, respects animals, provides a fair wage to the farmer, and supports and enhances rural communities” [“What Is Sustainable Agriculture?<\/a>“]. Sounds good, right? Not to animal rights activists. Despite their claims that they are only opposed to “factory farms,” the truth is that they oppose all use of animals as food.<\/p>\n

“Lou and another ox were retired this summer from the [Vermont Green Mountain] college’s working farm. The school planned to turn them into meat products to be served in the college dining hall as it has done with other livestock and in keeping with the school’s emphasis on sustainable agriculture.” But animal rights activists interfered and protested. The result was that Lou, who was retired because of injuries, had to be put down because his injuries worsened.<\/p>\n

No animal was saved and no savings were gained by using what was produced. Animal rights activists hide behind a concern for the environment, but they don’t support environmental-friendly operations if it isn’t done exactly their way.<\/p>\n

“Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer<\/em>” (I Timothy 4:1-5).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
