Is it OK to observe and draw abstract art because abstract art is all about changing thought patterns and perceptions of things? But I don’t want to depart in my thinking of God. I don’t want to be tricked into worldly thought patterns.<\/p>\n\t
Worldly thinking is focusing on things of this world, such as being focused on making money, sex, fame, or anything else that is passing away. “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world–the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life–is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever<\/em>” (I John 2:15-17). In other words, it is making sin and lust the focus of your life.<\/p>\n Abstract art is neither right nor wrong. Like any other art, it can be used in an immoral way, or it can be used to promote better ideas.
