Why did it take so long? Why did God close her womb until Samuel?<\/p>\n\t<h2>Answer:<\/h2>\n<p>We aren&#8217;t told why God had Hannah wait.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;<em>Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!<\/em>&#8221; (Psalms 27:14).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Wait on the LORD, And keep His way, And He shall exalt you to inherit the land; When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it<\/em>&#8221; (Psalms 37:34).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint<\/em>&#8221; (Isaiah 40:31).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>But if Hannah had children like everyone else, she would not have been motivated to dedicate her first child to God and Samuel would not have grown up as a priest in God&#8217;s house.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Question: Today we read about Hannah finally giving birth to Samuel.
