If so, why?<\/p>\n\t<h2>Answer:<\/h2>\n<p>In Israel, left-handedness was rare enough that it received mention at times. Ehud was left-handed (Judges 3:15). This allowed Ehud to smuggle in a sword to assassinate King Eglon by strapping the sword to his right thigh (the guards only thought to check his left side). The tribe of Benjamin had an elite troop of 700 left-handed men who were renown for their accuracy with the sling (Judges 20:15-16). However, such a unique feature is not mentioned in connection with the priests or the tribe of Levite. In fact, you could conclude that the priests were predominately right-handed by the instructions given to the priests. For example, &#8220;<em>And the priest shall take some of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand.
