“Liturgy” is just a fancy word for the public worship service. There is no fixed length for how long a worship service is to be. The usual teasing reminder that preachers point out is that Paul preached to midnight one time (Acts 20:7) and the lessons haven’t gone on nearly that long.<\/p>\n
Congregations typically have a target time for services so people can plan out events and meals, but what that time is depends on the congregation.<\/p>\n
If you find yourself impatient to leave, then it would be better to ask yourself why you are not getting anything out of the service.<\/p>\n
“For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness<\/em>” (Psalms 84:10).<\/p>\n
