But I do not believe that doctrine because I know that Jesus Christ is God. But what bothers me is that the Scriptures teach that Jesus Christ is also a man. So, is Jesus Christ today man at the same time God?

Answer:

Today Jesus is wholly God. He once took on the form of a man.

“But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons” (Galatians 4:4-5).

“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross” (Philippians 2:5-8).

“Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For indeed He does not give aid to angels, but He does give aid to the seed of Abraham. Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people” (Hebrews 2:14-17).

While the details are difficult to grasp, what took place overall is not. Man is composed of three parts: body, spirit, and soul. “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” (I Thessalonians 5:23). God is spirit (John 4:24). Man was made in God’s likeness. The body of a person is not the person; it is only the container for the spirit who is the actual person. “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness” ” (Genesis 1:26). God decided to come in the earth as a man. Instead of another spirit being made to occupy a body, the Son of God entered with his own Spirit. “Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: “Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a body You have prepared for Me” ” (Hebrews 10:25). “Then Jesus cried out, as He taught in the temple, saying, “You both know Me, and you know where I am from; and I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know. But I know Him, for I am from Him, and He sent Me”” (John 7:28-29). No other man can truthfully make the claim of existing before coming to this world.

But Jesus no longer has that physical body. “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption” (I Corinthians 15:50).

Question: Hello, Many people are teaching that Jesus Christ is a man and not God.
