I am a young preacher, just 19 years old, and a student. I would like to ask you: What particular event in the Bible marks when God created hell? Is it included in the six days of creation? A member here asked me about this topic, and I was not able to answer it because as far as I know it is not mentioned in Genesis chapter 1.<\/p>\n

Hell is a part of the spiritual realm, and, like much of that realm, we are told very little about it. We aren’t told when angels were created, though we know they are created beings. “Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His hosts! Praise Him, sun and moon; praise Him, all you stars of light! Praise Him, you heavens of heavens, and you waters above the heavens! Let them praise the name of the LORD, for He commanded and they were created<\/em>” (Psalms 148:2-5). So likely all the spiritual realms: heaven, hell, and angels were created at the same time. “For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him<\/em>” (Colossians 1:16).<\/p>\n Likely the angels were among the first to be created because they shouted for joy when the foundations of the earth were laid.<\/p>\n “Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said: “Who is this who darkens counsel By words without knowledge? Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me. Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements? Surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?<\/em>” (Job 38:1-7).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Of course, knowing when hell was created doesn’t make much difference to us.
